About
Well-versed in traditional Japanese culture
Rakugo, kabuki, Takarazuka, Japanese calligraphy, kimono, jidaigeki drama... From being a regular interpreter for Ueda Soko school of Tea to Assistant Director of Japan Performing Arts, I have multiple experiences and expansive knowledge of traditional Japanese culture.
Passion for anime/manga/2.5D theatre
I've attended many anime conventions and witnessed how the love for anime/manga/2.5D have united people, regardless of their nationalities, languages, and even beliefs. I strongly believe that anime and manga have the power to bring peace to the world. I'm proud to call myself an otaku (you will NOT be able to stop me once I start talking about seiyuu), and bringing Japanese contents into English-speaking world and uniting the fans across different cultures is my life work.
I'm a creator myself
I started dancing when I was three, and I have performed in musicals, choreographed, directed, and produced shows since then. I've had the privilege to work in professional theatres as well. The most important thing in any creative process, I believe, is to be clear on "What am I trying to say through this piece, and how do I express that idea? This formed the foundation of my work as an interpreter/translator. One of my strengths is that I can put myself in the creator's shoes and think, "How would they express it if they were able to use this language?
